Introduction to Kayaking
This course teaches basic kayaking skills, that can be applied to both white water kayaking and sea kayaking.

Course content: Efficient stroke technique, controlled entrance and exit of kayak (on water and shore), bracing. Ideal for people who just want an introduction and don't want to get into rescues and flipping over.

Beginner Kayaking
This course teaches basic kayaking skills, as well as safety and rescue techniques that can be applied to both white water kayaking and sea kayaking.

Kayak Rolling
Our individual sessions last 1.5 hours (weeknights) or 2-3 hours (Sundays) and allow you to work closely with an instructor to get this tricky technique down right.  We'll break down the technique into small steps and use different props and exercises to help achieve a bomb-proof roll.
                         
Course content: C-to-C Roll, Sweep Roll, Back-deck roll, Hand roll, Corkscrew roll.

Locations: Courses are offered at the former Marianopolis College pool.

Intermediate WW Kayaking
Everyone loves to learn tricks, but in order to be considered an intermediate paddler, you must be confident in your own abilities. And what better way to bomb-proof your roll then to practice tricks that result in your being upside down!

Course content: Advanced rolling techniques, assisted rescues, flat-water tricks including cartwheels, bow-stalls and stern squirts.

Sea Kayak Rescues
Participants will learn and practice a variety of assisted and self-rescues in order to be able to deal with open-water incidences quickly and effectively.
