Urban-based programs
These programs are delivered in the schoolyard or in a nearby park. Schools wishing to introduce outdoor education to their students (and their parents) consider these to be “baby steps” while developing a better understanding of how risks are successfully managed in a dynamic educational setting.

 
 Some of the more popular programs include:
  • Team building challenges
  • Orienteering and mapping
  • An Amazing Race-type challenge
  • Rabaska canoeing or kayaking on the historic Lachine Canal
  • A GPS scavenger hunt on Mount Royal or at the Old Port
