Learn to kayak in a pool!
Winter is a great time to learn how to kayak from the comforts of the warm controlled environment of a pool.

Whether you are looking to perfect technique or trying to get a friend or partner to try the sport, you'll find our sessions from the convenient downtown location of our pool, the perfect tonic for the winter blahs.

Introduction to kayaking
This course is similar to the 2-hour session offered at the Lachine Canal except students are taught what to do if the kayak flips over.  Perfect for total beginners who just want to try kayaking to see if they like it.

Beginner Kayaking
This six-hour course  covers all the essential kayaking techniques to get you started on the right track. Basic strokes, bracing, rescues and rolling is covered. Equivalent to Level I (FQCK) or Flatwater (Paddle Canada)

Kayak rolling
It looks so easy but anyone who has tried knows that rolling a kayak takes practice, patience and the right technique.  These sessions allow you to work one-one-one with instructors to learn this tricky move, improve what you have already learned, or try out some different ways to roll.
